The results showed that total triterpenes of lagerstroemia specious could improve the glucose tolerance,reduce the level of blood glucose,urine glucose,serium TC,TG, LDL-C and glycosylatde hemoglobin,increase the level of HDL-C significantly.

• 结果表明:大叶紫薇总三萜能非常显著地改善糖尿病大鼠的葡萄糖耐量；降低糖尿病大鼠的血糖；尿糖；血清TC；TG；LDL-C和糖化血红蛋白；升高HDL-C.
