The relationship between the thin layer chromatographic retention values and the molecular structures of fifteen amino acids was studied by using back propagation artificial neural networks (ANNs).

• 结果表明，氨基酸的色谱保留值与其结构之间呈现较强的非线性关系，采用人工神经网络方法比用多元线性回归方法能够更精确地描述这种关系。
