Fabrication of Ti_(3)AlC_(2) with different starting mixture powders sintered by hot pressing(HP) was studied. The results show that the single-phase bulk Ti_(3)AlC_(2) with high density is difficult to be fabricated with Ti,Al,C powders by HP.
