By model testing,the horizontal stress in the mucky layer under overlying arath surface crust is studied in this paper, when the overlying crust is under strip evenly distributed loads.

• 结果表明，在硬壳层的封闭下，淤泥层内水平应力随条形均布荷载的增加成幂函数的形式增长，且淤泥层内水平应力具有较高的数值，地表荷载在淤泥层内具有较大的影响范围。
